Term Dates Consultation

Recently, Leicestershire County Council asked parents and staff what they thought about future term dates. That exercise has now been completed and over 70% of respondents voted for an option that is different from the pattern that Leicester City Council, the authority this school falls under. This means term and holiday dates will not match between City and County schools from the 2019/20 academic year.

Because a lot of people have concerns when term dates differ like this, the City Council have decided to hold another consultation to decided whether or not to match their (and possibly our) term dates to the County's for 2019/20, as well as seeking views on whether to do so for 2020/21 and 2021/22.

This consultation will be launched shortly and you can respond by via the City Council website here.

"Your views will be very important in informing the final decision that is taken, and we
would like as many responses as possible to ensure that all interested parties have their
preferences taken into account."
