Year 3 recently hosted a wonderful Wellbeing Gala as part of our Real Life Mission.
We were delighted to welcome members of our local community and visitors from a nearby care home to join us for the event.
Drawing on our learning in Art, Music and PSHE, the children organised activities where they chatted with our guests about their lives, took part in a shared drawing activity, and sang some songs together.
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect across generations, and everyone involved had a brilliant time.
On Friday 6th March our Year 1 pupils invited families to join us in a creative story telling Real LiFE mission.
The pupils created finger puppets for the teddy bears picnic and the interactive session then saw pupils join families in a picnic of their own with lovely jam sandwiches.
We celebrated World Book Day in school by decorating potatoes and dressing up as book characters. Some of the costumes were amazing and it was great to see staff dressed up too!
During the day we moved around the school to read with other classes. This was a lovely way to share books with older and younger children. It was very hard to judge the potato competition as there were some amazing ideas and inventive designs. The winners will be rewarded with a book prize to be presented in assembly.Well done everyone – Keep reading!
