Year 4

Welcome to the Year 4 page!

Year 4 has three classes;

4G, 4M and 4T

 

The teachers will tell you about their classes and will be uploading pictures and information about their learning as the school year progresses.

Literacy

PE

Music

As part of the Music curriculum each child will get the opportunity to learn to play the steel pans.

French

Throughout the year the children will also be taught French by Madam Patterson, this is timetabled throughout the year

PE & Swimming

As well as the different PE skills taught throughout the year we have a specialist sports coach (Mr Whitmore) who comes in to take different year groups for PE.

Children must have a PE kit in school to change into, please make sure it is clearly labelled with your child’s name

Swimming is timetabled for Year 4 during the year, you will receive a letter when it is your child’s turn to go swimming.

Homework

Your child will be bringing home their homework every week. This needs to be completed and returned to school. Please support your child’s learning by completing and returning all given homework this includes reading bookstimes tables and spellings. 

Times Tables

Children are expected to have learned all of their times tables by Year 4.
